Why does deformation occur in hardware machining

There must be some things we should pay attention to during the processing. Due to the fact that a lack of attention in work can easily lead to the presentation of problems, which can directly affect the quality of the product, in order to prevent these incidents from happening, we need to pay attention when consuming. When problems arise, it is necessary to stop processing them in a timely manner. However, before processing, it is important to first identify the reason for stopping processing. So, let's understand what causes deformation in hardware machining?
When machining on a lathe, centripetal force is usually applied. The lathe's three or four jaw chuck is used to clamp the parts tightly, and then the machining of the mechanical parts is stopped. At the same time, in order to ensure that the parts do not loosen under stress and reduce the radial force, it is necessary to make the clamping force greater than the mechanical cutting force. The clamping force increases with the increase of cutting force and decreases with the decrease.
This operation is necessary to ensure the stability of mechanical parts under stress during the machining process. However, after the release of the three or four jaw chuck, the processed mechanical parts will be very different from the original, some will appear polygonal, some will appear elliptical, and show a greater tendency.
Regarding the mechanical parts of thin sheets, due to their very large length and diameter, after heat treatment, they simply appear as a straw hat winding around. On the one hand, there will be a phenomenon of bulging in the middle, with an increase in the plane inclination. On the other hand, due to various external factors, the parts will produce a circuitous phenomenon. The occurrence of these deformation problems is not only due to changes in the internal stress of the parts after heat treatment, but also due to the lack of solid professional knowledge of the operators, who do not have a good understanding of the structural stability of the parts, thereby increasing the probability of part deformation.
